Summer Academy for African-American HS rising seniors
A limited number of spots remain in the SuperScholar/EXCEL Summer Academy at Xavier University of Louisiana. We are still accepting applications, and it is now more affordable than ever. Thanks to funding from Title III and the Linden Root Dickinson and Sanders Dickinson Foundations, all accepted applicants will receive a substantial scholarship. After the scholarship, the remaining balance will only be $150. All participants must live on-campus; room and board are included in the scholarship package.
This four-week academic enrichment program is designed to prepare African-American high school students for college. Applicants must be rising high school seniors (currently juniors) or incoming XU freshmen for college. Program dates are June 21 to July 18, 2009. More information, the application and the social calendar can be found at http://www.xula.edu/gradstar/SS-EXCEL.php
