President's Message

Welcome to the official web site for the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City! I am excited to say that history is taking place in Kansas City. We are working extremely hard to bring positive energy to the community, create healthy partnership opportunities and implement effective community programs.

With each year comes a challenge of reaching the African American race especially our youth. Our youth need encouragement, mentors, tutors and guidance as they face today’s society. How can we make a difference in our communities? How can we help our youth? The answer is simple, let’s start by showing up. Let’s start by trying to change one individual’s life at a time.

We are all aware of the negative statistics and the unfortunate circumstances contributing to the challenges facing Black youth. Our noble ancestry and past history will not allow us to sit back and watch the destruction of our community without stepping forward as soldiers and attacking these negative forces. The members of the 100 want you to know that Black Men Care and we will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of many young Black men in our community

In my first term as president, we look to set a solid foundation as we implement our Four for the Future programs. I feel that we have a dedicated group of men that have a seasoned mentoring experience, great leadership responsibilities within the community and have committed to raising the bar and setting the standard for minority excellence.

We ask that you join us – the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City – today as we continue our journey to improve the lives of young African American men and people around the Greater Kansas City area. One mission, with one purpose equals a growing community!
